MOA:
- Omeprazole works by blocking the action of hydrogen-potassium ATPase (H+/K+-ATPase) enzyme, also known as the proton pump. This enzyme is found in the stomach lining and is responsible for the final step in acid production by stomach cells. By inhibiting this enzyme, omeprazole significantly reduces the amount of acid secreted by the stomach.

MOA:
- Ranitidine is a histamine H2-receptor antagonist, which means it works by blocking the action of histamine at the H2 receptors located on gastric parietal cells in the stomach. Histamine is a chemical messenger that stimulates the stomach to produce acid. By blocking these receptors, ranitidine reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach.
- Ondansetron works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance in the body that can cause nausea and vomiting. It specifically blocks serotonin receptors (5-HT3) located in the gut and brainstem, which are involved in the nausea and vomiting reflex. By blocking these receptors, ondansetron prevents the release of signals that trigger nausea and vomiting.
