MOA:
Mefenamic acid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the enzymes cyclooxygenase (COX) 1 and 2. COX enzymes are involved in the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. By inhibiting COX, mefenamic acid reduces the production of prostaglandins, thereby reducing pain, inflammation, and fever.
