COMPOSITION:

Ceftriaxone            1000 mg

Sulbactum                500 mg 

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

CEFTRIAXONE is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria.

SULBACTAM is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.

INDICATIONS:

Ceftriaxone+Sulbactam is used in the treatment of bacterial infections.

Sepsis                                                 

Meningitis                                          

Abdominal Infections                         

Infection of Bones/Joints                  

Skin & Soft Tissue infections            

UTI                                                     

RTI (Pneumonia)

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:

Rocephin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ceftriaxone, any of its excipients or to any other cephalosporin.

SIDE EFFECTS:

Diarrhea, Increased liver enzymes, Allergic reaction, Rash.

PRECAUTIONS & WARNING

Call your doctor right away if you have itching; hives; hoarseness; shortness of breath; trouble breathing; trouble swallowing; or any swelling of your hands, face, or mouth after you receive this medicine. Ceftriaxone may cause diarrhea, and in some cases it can be severe.

DOSAGE:

As directed by the Physician.

STORAGE:

It should be stored at room temperature, 15-30ºC. Solutions should be reconstituted immediately before use. If storage is required, these solutions should be refrigerated and used within 48 hours from time of reconstitution.
